Official Redemption tournaments hosted by Redemption Central usually have an entry fee for participation. Fees may vary depending on location, tournament type, additional prizes and special prize drawings etc. However, the beginner's tournaments are not sponsored by Cactus Game Design, and may or may not have a participation fee associated with it. Here is a brief outline of how the tournament fees usually work for tournaments hosted by Omega Christian Bookstore and Redemption Central:

• Workshop: FREE!  (Learn Redemption Fundamentals)
• Beginners: $2.00 (Type I Two Player - Starter Decks Only)
• Local: $3.00 (Type I or II Two Player and Type I or II Multi-player)
• District: Friday $10.00 (Sealed or Draft) Saturday $3.00 (Type I or II Two Player & Type I or II Multi-player) 
• State: Friday $12.00  Saturday $3.00 (Same as District)
• Regional: Friday $12.00  Saturday $5.00 (Same as District)
• National: "3 Day Event TBD"  (All Categories Played)

NOTE: Participation fees are used to officially register the tournaments with Cactus Game Design and to provide prizes and participation gifts. Once a player gets past the beginner's stage and graduates to the official tournament level, then they will receive an Official Tournament Promo card at each event which usually has a trade value of $10 or more, so participants always get their money back immediately in the form on an actual Redemption card. We want to make it easy for parents to allow kids to play redemption, so we try to minimize, or replace the financial portion (fee) with something that has an equivalent monetary value (card). It's a true WIN ~ WIN situation.
